Yoga Teacher
Jen has been practicing yoga ever since trying a class on a whim at an L.A. gym in 2000. Since then, yoga has transformed her, teaching the once cynical journalist to approach life with an open, playful attitude and setting her on a happy new path. In 2007, she followed her dream and moved to Paris, taking a yoga mat and practicing daily while she made the adjustment to Parisian life. She returned to the states, deepening her practice through the Anusara, Vinyasa flow and yin styles and completing her 200-hour teacher training at Black Dog Yoga in Sherman Oaks led by Peter Barnett, Sigrid Matthews, Jenny Brill, Maria Cristina Jiminez and Margaret Buckley.
Jen’s yoga classes are focused on alignment, allowing students to mindfully go deeper into poses, developing strength and flexibility and discovering an inner stillness. A freelance writer (her work has appeared in Variety, Billboard, Premiere, HGTV.com, and other places), Jen uses her writing background to tell a story through sequencing and themes in each class.
