Beginning, well last week, I started teaching a new class at Aeriform Arts in North Hollywood, a new aerial yoga studio, the first in L.A. I’ll be teaching the Monday Stretch class at 6:30 p.m. Deep yoga stretching, open to all levels. Come check it out!

Some changes

Wow, it’s been about a year since I last updated my site.

I’ve been busy! I moved back to L.A., have been working like crazy on copywriting projects, elearning projects, and some journalism stories here and there. Plus, I did something I’d been wanting to do for a long time: yoga teacher training. If you’d like to check out one of my classes, check the calendar on the right-hand column for my schedule.

2011 was a great year and I’m looking forward to even more excitement in 2012.

Portland’s Fashion Industry Feels Growing Pains

The influential reality TV show Project Runway has put Portland and its designers in the fashion spotlight. But the bright lights haven’t brought stability to the local fashion industry.

“If you’re just a designer here, it’s very difficult,” Project Runway Season 7 winner Seth Aaron Henderson said. “You could probably have a little store and make $50,000 a year but you’re not going to have a label unless you’re in this situation.”

It’s come to this: No one is more willing to talk about acne than a musician.

With celebrity acne-fighter Proactiv’s signing earlier this month of Justin Bieber as a spokesman, the teen star joins Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys and Mandy Moore as recording artists who have signed up to talk openly about “critters on their face,” as Perry refers to it in her spot.
